As I walk through the streets of Hiroshima, many hibakujumoku seem to be dancing.
hibakujumoku that continue to live here are powerful, and microorganisms, even after being burned in the fires of the atomic bomb,have continued the chain of life silently.
This painting is an homage to Ghosts, one of The Hiroshima Panels.

A tree looks like a skull.It looks like a mammoth’s fang, or an elephant.I see a bug! There’s also umibozu, a sea goblin.Some people discover the painting that way.
A tree dances like an arrow shooting toward the epicenter.
I want to sing a hymn to all the lives that live here.

「讃歌 樹木」
広島の町を歩いていると、たくさんの被爆樹木たちが踊っているようだった。
ここに生き続ける被爆樹木は力強く、微生物たちは、原爆の劫火に焼かれてなお、命の連鎖を黙々と続けていたことを思う。
この絵は原爆の図「幽霊」のオマージュである。絵の中の隠れたいきものたちを見つけて欲しい。
木はドクロに見える。マンモスのキバに、ぞうに見える。虫みっけた！海坊主もいるよ。そんな風に発見してくれた人もいた。
爆心地に向かって矢を放つように踊る木。
ここに生きるすべての命への讃歌を謳いたい。
